Add 5 Star Tradie as a Manager on Your Google Business Profile

Add thomas@5startradie.com.au as a Manager (not Owner). Takes about two minutes, steps below.
If you're on the Growth plan or above, part of what we do is manage and optimise your Google Business Profile, the listing that shows up when people search for your trade nearby.
To do that work, we need to be added as a Manager on your profile. This is a normal Google feature built for exactly this, it doesn't involve sharing your password or handing over your account. You stay the Owner the whole time, and you can remove our access whenever you like.
How to Add Us, Step by Step
1. Search your business on Google
On your phone or computer, search Google for your business name (the one on your listing). Your Business Profile will show up on the right (desktop) or at the top (mobile).
2. Open your Business Profile settings
Tap or click your profile, then look for a menu icon (three dots, usually top-right of the profile card). Select Business Profile settings.
3. Find "People and access"
In the settings menu, look for People and access (sometimes just called "Managers" or "Users" depending on your device).
4. Add a new manager
Tap Add, then enter: thomas@5startradie.com.au
5. Set the access level to Manager
When it asks what role to give, choose Manager, not Owner. Then hit Invite.
That's it, nothing else to do. We'll get an invite on our end and accept it, usually within one business day. No need to send a screenshot or confirm anything unless we ask.
If Google's menu wording looks slightly different on your device, that's normal, Google shuffles this layout every so often. Look for anything called "Business Profile settings," "Managers," or "People and access" and you're in the right place.
Do I have to share my password?
No. Adding a Manager is a standard Google feature built for exactly this. You stay the Owner of the profile the whole time, we never see your password, and you can remove our access whenever you like.
How long does it actually take?
About two minutes. You search your business on Google, open the profile settings, add thomas@5startradie.com.au as a Manager, and Google sends us the invite automatically.
What can you change once you are a Manager?
We can update your services, categories, service areas, photos, hours and posts, and we can reply to reviews. A Manager cannot remove the Owner, transfer ownership or delete the profile, so your profile stays yours.
What if I cannot find the option to add a manager?
Google moves this setting around and it looks different on phone and desktop. If the option is not where the steps describe, send us a screenshot of what you can see and we will point you to it.
Can I remove your access later?
Yes, at any time, without asking us. Open your profile settings, find people and access, and remove our email. Nothing else about your listing changes.
Do I need to do this if you are also building my website?
They are separate. The website is ours to build and hand over; your Google Business Profile stays in your Google account and we simply need Manager access to work on it. Doing both together is what makes you show up properly in local search.
